Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Unsalted Pantry LLC (“Unsalted Pantry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates unsaltedpantry.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of our website, whether or not you make a purchase.

Information We Collect

  • Contact information you give us — your email address when you sign up for our newsletter or waitlist, plus an optional answer to a short survey about why you're interested in the box.
  • Order information — when you purchase a box, checkout is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your name, shipping address, email, and payment details directly. We receive confirmation that an order was placed and the order amount, but we never receive or store your full payment card number. To ship your order, we pass your name and shipping address to Pirate Ship, the service we use to print shipping labels.
  • Automatically collected information — like most websites, we use the Meta Pixel to see which pages are viewed and to measure whether our ads are working. We also temporarily store campaign parameters (like which ad or link brought you here) in your browser.

How We Use Information

  • To send the newsletter and product updates you signed up for, via Klaviyo, our email platform
  • To fulfill and confirm your order, via Stripe
  • To measure and improve our advertising, via Meta Pixel
  • To understand which marketing channels are actually working, so we can spend our small ad budget wisely

Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information for money — full stop.

We share limited information with the service providers who help us run Unsalted Pantry:

  • Klaviyo — our email marketing platform. Stores the email address and survey answer you give us.
  • Stripe — our payment processor. Handles your order and payment details directly; see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Pirate Ship — our shipping label service. Receives your name and shipping address so we can get your box to you; see Pirate Ship's Privacy Policy.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — via the Meta Pixel, to measure ad performance and show you relevant ads. Under California law, sharing information with an advertising partner like this can be treated as a “share” even though no money changes hands — see Your Privacy Choices below.

We never sell information to data brokers or unrelated third parties.

Cookies & Tracking

We use browser storage for a few narrow purposes: the Meta Pixel sets its own cookies to measure ad performance, we briefly store campaign parameters (like utm_source) so we know which link brought you here, and we store your privacy choice (see below) so we remember it on your next visit.

Your Privacy Choices (California Residents)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information. Unsalted Pantry is a small business and does not currently meet the thresholds that trigger CCPA's full requirements — but we believe in your right to choose regardless.

You can opt out of Meta Pixel sharing at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page. We also automatically honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal if your browser sends one.

Where CCPA applies, you generally have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it's used
  • Delete personal information we've collected from you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@unsaltedpantry.com.

Other State Privacy Rights

If you live in a state with a similar consumer privacy law (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Utah), you may have comparable rights. Contact us at hello@unsaltedpantry.comand we'll do our best to help.

Children's Privacy

Unsalted Pantry is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
